Details about our programs including tuition information is on our Afterschool page. You can view the Virtual Family Orientation Video on our Family Handbook page.
Wildarts understands that the NYCDOE PROSE Early Dismissal Days at PS 84 can be challenging for working families, so we're offering PROSE Day Camps to help!
Wildarts @ PS 84 offers Enrichment classes in Basketball, Soccer, Mad Science, Cocinando en Español and more!
Wildarts Enrichment classes offer more specialized instruction than our regularly scheduled Core program activities and are a great way to learn in a small group setting. Open to the entire school community, Enrichment classes are a great way to sample Wildarts programs.
When your student is enrolled in a Wildarts Enrichment class, they are entitled to attend the full day of Wildarts from snack to dismissal!
These schedules are subject to change. Wildarts will notify families of any permanent changes to the schedules.
Wildarts cannot accommodate Group change requests.

Not sure what "Tribes Times" is? This section is for you!
Tribes Times is a literacy based social-emotional learning block. We use stories and hands-on activities to help students learn to identify their emotions, manage conflict, make and keep friends, and grow mindfully. We start with basic concepts of respect, bodily autonomy and consent. For instance, students learn to ask permission to touch and hug by asking to "pop your bubble" before they touch. We read stories to pair with our lessons like the book Alexander's Horrible No Good Very Bad Day--a great book for learning what to call our most difficult emotions. We have lots of fun crafts, games, and songs to learn these concepts.
This class is typically for our youngest participants--replacing the Homework Help block for students too young for Homework
Wildarts Visual Arts classes are filled with fun experimental techniques and materials. We teach lessons rooted in drawing, painting, scultpure, craft, and animation with a fun Wild twist. Wildarts Visual Arts classes support our showcase performances by building the stellar sets, props and costumes you see on stage.
Wildarts Music classes introduce your young maestros to rhythm, rhyme, beat, melody, harmony and everything in between. With a focus on building confidence, we structure classes so students have opportunities to make music as a group and go solo.
Wildarts Sports and Games classes combine team-building exercises with skill-building in classic sports for a heart-pumping good time. Roller scooter hockey? Dinosaur dodgeball? Soccer relay races? Absolutely.
Wildarts Dance classes help students get to know their bodies better. With influences from hip-hop, contemporary, jazz, and the occasional break-dancing freeze, we get students moving--in UNISON! Participants often have an opportunity to choreograph dances themselves, shaping the final form of the large group dances in our showcase performances.
Cooking is one of our most popular programs! Our Cooking Teaching Artists lead students through a recipe from start to finish. We incorporate the simplest recipes (with a chemistry lesson) like how to make butter from just heavy cream, as well as recipes from far-flung places that teach our students about the geography of the ingredients we love and fascinating culinary cultural practices around the globe. Please email us at info@wildartsnyc.org to let us know if your child has any dietary restrictions. We may not be able to adjust our recipes to accommodate those restrictions, but students are always encouraged to "gift" their homemade treats if they don't/can't enjoy them themselves.
Wildarts is deep too. Our Spoken Word poetry classes promote literacy with baked in vocabulary development and grammar manipulation. Students compose and perform their own Spoken Word poetry in front of their peers which is also a perfect early introduction to Public Speaking. Confidence and community are built on the sharing we do in these classes.
Calling all braniacs! Wildarts Trivia classes put a fun competitive spin on knowing something about everything. Students compete solo, in groups, and sometimes against the Trivia Teaching Artist to show what they know. It's fun, it's academic, and it build self-esteem.
An afterschool classic. Wildarts Afterschool Teaching Artists and Group Leaders support students as they work through their homework assignments. We try to complete as much as we can, but we cannot guarantee all your student's homework will be complete in this 45 minute block. However, on request, we can have your child's Group Leader help them focus on a specific topic. Don't speak great English at home? We can start with reading. Does your student struggle most with Math? We can begin with that! Let us know if you need a little extra help.
Wildarts Theater classes offer students a chance to develop and perform their own script from start to finish. Theater classes promote collaboration at a large scale. All groups work together to act, light, mic, stage and ultimately show-off an original Wildarts production. It's a lot of work, but students learn problem-solving, perseverance, and how to support one another along the way.
