We've heard you! Wildarts is now offering an EXTENDED Summer Camp from August 10th through the 21st. The late weeks in August can be a tough time to find programming for young creative minds--not anymore! We'll be belting solos, tapping our toes, and bending it like Beckham into late August this year. This Extended Summer Camp is only possible due to the generous cooperation of our partners at PS 84. Shout out to Dr. Lolis and the PS 84 Custodial Team for hosting us! Not all heroes wear capes.
When: August 10th -August 21st, 8AM-6PM Monday-Friday
Where: Wildarts @ PS 84 - 32 W. 92nd, New York, NY 10025
Cost: $1100.00 for the two-week session, 5 Days per week.
This camp is only available for the full two-week duration.
For this camp, breakfast and lunch will NOT be provided. Please pack lunch and afternoon snack.
Wildarts Day Camps are an opportunity to get creative when school is not in session. A combination of Sports, Art, and STEM activities makes for an engaging and social day!
Wildarts Day Camps are open to all in grades 3/PK through 5*. The day begins at 8AM and ends at 6PM. We provide breakfast and lunch. We ask families to pack a morning and afternoon snack. Check out a Day Camp sample schedule below.
*Wildarts Camps are subject to minimum enrollment and may be cancelled if the minimum is not met. So, register early, and get the word out!
Wildarts Participants are sorted by age into color-named groups. Each group follows a weekly schedule with art and movement activities that rotate daily. Your student may be moved into a new group as the Summer progresses so we can balance staff/student ratios and personalities. Wildarts cannot accommodate group placement requests. We thank you for your understanding and flexibility. You can find our group schedules by clicking on your group above!
Regsitration for Wildarts Summer Camp is on a weekly basis. Wildarts Summer Camp runs 6 weeks in the summer beginning with the week of June 30th and ending with the week of August 8th. We operate Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM except on July 4th.
Wildarts Summer Camp will close in accordance with the Department of Education school, camps and afterschool emergency closings (such as inclement weather) when ordered. Families will be notified when Wildarts Afterschool is closed due to an emergency.
Wildarts Summer Camp drop-off begins no earlier than 8am at the big green Wildarts table through the PS 84 entrance on W. 92nd St. We offer a rolling arrival--feel free to come when you like. Keep in mind, if you arrive late, you may miss part of the activities for the day.
Wildarts also offers rolling dismissal. You can pick your child up at the big green Wildarts table whenever you like. Please keep in mind that students who dismiss before 5:30PM will miss some activities planned for the day. When you arrive before 5:30PM to pick up your child, it may take some time for them to stop their activity, pack-up and make their way to you.
Field Trip Dismissal: Wildarts will notify families when we expect to return from a field trip so you can plan when to pick up your child. We ask for patience and flexibility with this timing. Moving in large groups can take time.
Wildarts provides a free meal at breakfast and lunch furnished by NYC School Foods. Wildarts encourages families with dietary restrictions to look over the School Foods Afterschool Menu and provide an appropriate snack from home if the meals are not suitable to your participant's needs. Wildarts is a nut-free program. Please DO NOT send nuts in snacks for Summer programs.
There may be delays in meal service which are out of our control. In this case, we will ask families to pack snacks and lunches. Please understand that Wildarts cannot refund or discount programs due to delays in meal service--this service is offered for free to us and food costs are not accounted for in your tuition payment.
Wildarts Summer Camp incorporates Water Days to beat the heat twice per week. We often play water games such as Sponge Relay Races, Water Balloon Bonanza, and Water Rocket Wars. For water days, please send your children in swimwear with a towel, change of clothes and water shoes (if you have them) in their backpacks.
Wildarts Summer Camp has Field Trips once per week. Wildarts families receive daily email updates about our programs, so you'll have information about our field trips in advance. Keep an eye on these emails for special instructions related to arrival and dismissal times on field trip days, special items you may need to bring, or whether or not to pack a lunch.
After lunch and outdoor play, all 3K/PK* children have nap time. We have access to cots. Please send a sleeping bag or blanket for your child to make them more comfortable for nap time. We aren't able to store their sleeping bags or extra clothing so we ask, if you can of course, to bring these items on a weekly basis.
*Pre-K students who are entering Kindergarten in September will not have a nap time. This is to prepare them for the no-nap days when the school year comes.
In order to receive a full refund for unused Summer Camp Weeks, Wildarts needs to receive notice of cancellation at least two weeks prior to the start of the Summer Camp Week.
No refunds or credits will be issued within two weeks (14 days) of the start of your Wildarts Summer Camp booking. No refunds, credits or make-up days will be provided for missed camp days regardless of the reason.
Unfortunately, Wildarts Summer Camp Weeks are only sold for the full 5 days. Wildarts will not prorate Summer Camp Weeks for unused days within the week.
Thank you to all who supported our best Summer Camp yet!
Keep on dancing! --Team Wildarts
